Get your Tousled tresses on the outside and untie them from the inside! here’s how!
Stress, we are all under its spell! and it can leave us feeling wound up and tense on the inside. Anxiety, illness, depression are just a few of its most common symptoms. If you live in a big city like I do in New York, often just your daily trip on the subway can raise your blood pressure a few notches. I find the key to untying the knots in my belly when they rise up is to stop, breathe in, close my eyes and simply just be for a few moments. Meditating daily for 20 minutes has enormous mental and physical health benefits but when your holding on for dear life on a fast moving train with little time, just being with your quite self for a few moments can also become a highly beneficial daily habit. On the other hand Tousled up hair can be very sexy so if you have shoulder length or even longer hair you might want to reach for Garnier Fructis volumizing anti humidity hair spray. Just tilt your head over in the morning and spray your hair, then scrunch with your fingers, finish up the look by placing your hair up in an messy bun for awhile. The longer you leave your hair up the more tousled it will look. NO one will ever suspect with all that sexy tousled up hair that on the inside you are really a serene swan!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not necessarily a beauty product!
I live in New York city and this past month has been bitterly cold! perhaps not everyone feels that its bitter outside but if your anything like me and as you get older you catch yourself constantly complaining about how freezing it is every day then you will appreciate this post. The other annoying thing about the cold is that there are just to many days when you feel that there is literally
not one beauty product on earth that could help you look and feel any better. From the constant hat hair, runny red nose, watery eyes, sand paper dry skin and brittle nails! Oh and lets not forget the tired and achy muscles and chilly to the bone feeling. Its no wonder that many of us have to battle a case of the winter blues every now and again! Sometimes I find its better for my spirits to stop thinking about which skin serum will prevent my skin from aging and feeling the effects of winter and instead I turn inwards and give my self a positive affirmation that I secretly repeat to myself throughout the day like “I AM LOVE, I LIVE LOVE AND I AM LOVING LIFE TODAY”! When you love yourself it transposes unto you, your kids and life around you thereby radiating a luminous beauty. So when you catch yourself looking into the mirror and feeling a little hopeless remember that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder and it is up to us to choose a positive attitude towards our own unique beautiful beauty.
The real problem isn’t that Beyonce lip synced the national anthem! It’s that she needs a makeover! here’s why!
There I said it out load! I can’t possibly be the only one thinking this can I ? Enough with the national anthem already and let’s talk about that hair. It’s to big for 2013 for starters, the texture is frizzy, not sleek and sexy like I believe she was attempting and is it my eyes or does the color of her hair appear to be orange and yellow? This look is all wrong for her and everyone for that matter. My Morningmom beauty tip here is , don’t be to quick to follow your favorite celebrity beauty looks because they aren’t always getting it right. Instead find your own unique features and enhance what you have instead of following a trend.
Is our First Lady Michelle Obama following our Morningmoms hair beauty tip? I don’t believe in coincidences so let’s see!
I realize that I am taking a huge leap! but just a couple of days ago I chose the lovely Kerry Washington as my number one red carpet pick this week and chose her edgy fringe as the new trend that Morningmoms should follow. The Whitehouse released a photo today of our beloved First Lady the beautiful Michelle Obama as it is her birthday, and in it she is effortlessly wearing the same haircut I commented on earlier this week. I have never wrote about the same Morningmom tip twice but this one just had to be said again! This haircut will be easy to manage and take little effort in the morning. Maybe just Maybe, Michelle Obama is a Morningmom too!!
Here’s how to get your own golden globe look in just a few minutes!!
I love to watch the trends on the red carpet every year and although most of us feel that the hair and makeup looks we see on the celebrities are unattainable and not practical in everyday life, I always manage to find an actress that stands out with a look that is fresh, beautiful, pragmatic and sexy all at the same time! This year my vote goes to the stunning Kerry Washington. This sleek and stylish haircut with the edgy uneven fringe is a style that requires little effort in the morning! a flatiron and a comb through is all that this look requires.

Let’s hear it for Fearnobeauty! and some fast full proof hair tips from Morningmoms!
Hairstylist Stephania Parent (who also happens to man a mommy blog, Morning Moms), gives my rain-flattened locks a once-over, and starts by spraying on Curl to Curl “to reactivate your natural curls and add some life to your hair,” Stephania says. (Apparently, my hair is pretty dead-looking upon arrival.) “This is perfect for a midday hair pick-me-up, or if you want to give your hair a little oomph after work before going out to meet friends.” Curl to Curl also de-frizzes fuzz and locks-out humidity—much needed when the weather is acting shifty. Stephanie tells me to mist it on from roots to ends, and it can be applied on damp or dry hair—whatever your styling pleasure may be.
(The Mark Double Do compact on display at the Blowout Bar event. We were all buzzing around this little gem!)
After giving me a few blasts of heat with her blow-dryer, Stephania sets to work curling my hair using the Mark Curl Time Curler wand. She’s twirling my locks with the reverse-curl technique: She’ll curl one section one way, and then reverse the direction of the curl on the next section. “The more you do this, the more natural and random it looks,” she says. Stephania then directs me to shake out my curls, which I dutifully do (when you’re in the stylist’s chair, you do as told), and then she runs a little Curl Commander gel through my hair. “This helps give more definition to your waves, plus locks in moisture while keeping the humidity out,” she says. Though it’s a gel, which I typically shy away from, it’s crunch-free with no stick. (And it smells amazing, as does the whole line.)
The final step to crafting my relaxed waves: a mega-misting of Locks in Place hairspray. “This will help suppress the oils in the hair so your waves don’t go limp,” Stephania tells me. I am a little concerned over the amount she’s sprayed on; will my hair be a stiff helmet? I like to touch my hair, maybe too much. If it’s stiff…well, then, I won’t be able to touch my hair! To quell my fears, she has me run my fingers through my waves and—surprise, surprise! They feel flexible. She also notes that Locks in Place contains conditioning kukui nut oil and elderberry extract, so it’s purpose isn’t simply to lock-down your style, but also to feed it with some hair-loving nutrients.
As I trek back from Milk Studios in my flats and very-un-flat hair, my only concern is that I have a great hairstyle with nowhere to go. Maybe my fellow subway commuters will notice my waves? One can only hope!
